Davion’s Story & Legacy
In 2010, tragedy struck when the life of Davion Michael Brown was taken far too soon. While no words could ever fill that void, his family chose to transform their grief into purpose. Out of that pain was born the Davion Michael Brown Foundation—a testament to love, resilience, and the determination to make a difference.
Sports played a central role in his life. Davion played football for the Carson Colts and the Compton Titans little league teams, ran track with Team Stealth, and was an avid swimmer. At Dorsey High, he excelled as a cornerback on the varsity football team, earning respect for his discipline, dedication, and leadership.
But at just 16 years old, on December 29, 2010, Davion’s promising life was tragically cut short.
Although his time on earth was brief, his legacy lives on. Every program, every scholarship, and every act of service through the foundation carries Davion’s spirit of kindness, generosity, and strength. His name has become a symbol of hope—reminding us that even in the face of unimaginable tragedy, we can create light, opportunity, and transformation.
The Davion Michael Brown Foundation was established to honor his memory by giving back to inner-city youth. Our mission is to keep young people off the streets by:
• Providing scholarships so they can play youth sports.
• Helping students stay in school, graduate high school, and continue on to college.
• Creating opportunities that guide them toward a brighter, more promising future.
Through this work, Davion’s spirit continues to inspire—and his life, though short, continues to impact generations.
